Bordo is a mountain village in northern Italy in the Alps. It lies in the remote Antrona valley on a sunny, south-facing slope. The original nature endowed the place with rare plants, clear mountain water, quiet spaces and fresh air. Bordo is accessible only by foot. It is an ancient, unhurried way about 25 minutes uphill, while an aerial ropeway takes the luggage up. At the "fountain in front of the gates" one can draw fresh spring water and then enters the village, in a world long past. Man finds himself in the circle of houses, which, with natural stone walls and stone roofs through the centuries haben.Bordo a place to relax, recharge and relax, to being in simplicity, to relax, to reflect and meditate. And of course, to take pictures, but sometimes for me that is almost the same.
the early 80's was a Bordo of shrubs and trees overgrown, abandoned village for decades. Young, idealistic man discovered it for himself and made the buildings habitable again. With much effort and love they renovated the building and lived at their own pace together in community. As they drew much strength from Buddhism, they designed a Buddhist living space, is in the heart of the Buddhist center.
